I’ve always had an admiration for the workethics of most Chinese folk. I lived in the far east during the eighties andthey just cracked on with whatever job they had in hand. I’ve seen guyserecting bamboo scaffolding outside windows twenty storeys up in order to domaintenance work. They were absolutely fearless. They e***at can beachieved without the shackles of H&S. Not that i’m against all forms ofH&S, just the silly elements; training to use step ladders, warnings onmirrors stating that things viewed in the mirror are behind you, warnings onbags of nuts stating that the bag contains nuts. etc etc. Keep up the good workguys, oh,……and be safe!

我对大部分中国人的职业道德总是很敬佩。80年代的时候我住在远东，什么样的工作他们都肯干。我看到有人在20层楼的窗户外立起竹子做的脚手架，就为了进行保养工作。他们绝对是不怕死的。他们体现了在不用受安全与健康束缚的情况下自己所能取得的成就。并不是说我反对所有的安全与健康措施，而是反对其中愚蠢的部分；比如训练人们怎么使用梯子，在镜子上贴警告标志称你在镜子里看到的东西位于你的身后，在装坚果的包装上贴上警告标识称袋里装有坚果，等等。中国好兄弟们继续努力工作，但要注意安全！
